Customer Review: same size can be different fit

My fiance loves these jeans and I always thought he was nuts that he had to try on the same 505's in the same size but found out you need to read the tag where they were manufactured. At the same store in the same size the same jeans were made in different countries resulting in a different fit. So now we know to look for the country that made them before we buy. They are still a favorite of both of ours as long as we get the same cut.
Hopefully my purchase today will be the right ones! This is a test I guess.

The 501 straight leg jeans for sure shrink more than the 501 orginial stf jeans. Got the black color,they looked dark blue upon inspection. But once washed the black color really came out. Amazon has all the 501 styles,but should take better care to explain the differences. That way people would not get so upset when thay buy relaxed fit 501's,but actually think thay bought orginial fit 501's. Most people either love or hate the Levi 501 series.Customer Review: perfect fit

I purchased Levi's 505 regular fit for my Husband, and he is hard to find the right length, the size is no problem. he had lost 51-lbs of weight from being ill, now he is eating better. so, i got 34x29. my husband tried them on and they fit to a T, even after i washed them. Levi's is the only denim this family can wear, they are the perfect fit. I highly recommend Levi's brand denim, they have been around since the 1853.Customer Review: Where they're made counts!

Overall, these are well-made, high quality denim jeans that I would expect from Levi's. They fit properly to size with no major flaws.
One star knocked off because the button holes were too small, so I had to cut them open and resew them. Also, even though exact same size/model/color as previous purchase (made in Egypt), these (made in Mexico) are not exactly the same fit or color... quality control issues.

I got these for my boyfriend who is on the short side. :) Well, there aren't many washes available for short inseams. But the jeans fit well. He likes them a lot.
