I got two 512s, the Medium Stonewash and the Vintage Medium. The design is by no means slim. While it is slimmer at the thigh, it doesn't taper from the knee to the ankle like the 512 is supposed to. It's pretty much straight from the knee down. The denim is fairly thin. In particular the Vintage Medium is very flimsy fabric, it doesn't feel like jeans at all. While the Medium Stonewash is made in Mexico, the Vintage Medium is made in China. Did they pass on the savings to the consumer? No. Wasn't that the whole point of globalization- cheap products? So the ultra thin Chinese "Levi's" costs the same as the Mexican or Colombian. What a ripoff. Poor design, bad denim, and made in China. Stay away from this. A shame that good true slim jeans are nowhere to be found. |
