I got a pair of these at the goodwill about a year ago, and they became some of my favorite jeans! So I looked them up to see if I could find another pair before these ones fall apart. To my surprise, I discovered that these are men's jeans. What a shocker, right? Not to be crude, but my ass looks so awesome in these pants that I would never suspect them to be intended for... gasp... the manlier half of the species. In retrospect, I suppose this makes a certain amount of sense. They aren't thigh-squeezingly tight, and have a nice, rather flared leg, two things which are unusual in womens' pants. Also, another (male) reviewer DID complain about a lack of room in the behind area, which could presumably result in the tighter look preferred by (or just marketed to?) females in that area. I've worn 527 for about 5 years and I was heartbroken when EMS had to rip through my oldest pair when I dislocated my knee. Thankfully, Amazon has the same great color (Indie Blue) in my hard to find size (33-32)!
The pants are true to Levi's fit. They look even better with age, so wear them out and wash them to get you're own unique look. These pants fit me will; Tastefully low on the waist, and just baggy enough that it can be worn with just about anything. I mix mine up with classic shoes like Converse, Tigers or Vans. They fall on the shoe just right and as the heel gets torn-up, will start to take on a rocker look.
Try them out. For the price, they really can't be beat.

I can't rock the skinny jeans cause I value my goods too much so I got a pair of 527s from the dept store a few weeks ago and loved the jeans but found a small tear on the leg that got worse after I already bought and wore them from the store. I was pissed off so I ordered 2 more pairs (sail and Indie) from Amazon. They came in 2 days and they fit perfect! colors matched the pictures dead on.Totally recommend this style if you want a tighter fit without your manhood screaming for air. I have bought my son several pairs of Levis in the past and they have been great. I have seen, however, on the J.C. Penny website, a lot of reviews that say that the back pockets tear. I've never had that problem with Levis before, and the reviews make me wary to buy more ($32.00 a pair is not cheap).
Has anyone had trouble with back pockets ripping?

My friend has a big tummy that causes his pants to ride low. With these jeans, his pants look great. With other jeans, his pants look like they are falling off because when they ride low, so does the behind. Thank you Levis for something that will work for a larger man!!! NO MORE BAGGY BUTT SYNDROME!!!
