Since purchasing this product one year ago, I now approach airline counters with confidence knowing fully well that I am within the stipulated baggage allowance. This travel scale is truly a wonder. It is easy to carry, it's readings are precise and easy to read in either pounds or kilograms, and the fact that the weight indicator shows the reading after the suitcase is removed is a tremendous bonus, not forgetting the available measuring tape, if needed. I will not hestitate to recommend this prodcut to anyone who is looking to travel with confidence and not worry about a overweight suitcase. Customer Review: Junk

This is a piece of junk. I tried to lift 70 lbs. The hook bent, the weight fell off, the hook came flying back and almost hit me in the eye, one of the hands on the dial popped off, and the dial lens cracked.Customer Review: Prefer Digital

I wish I would have purchased a digital read out. My brother has one and it is precise to the nearest tenth. It also beeps when it has finished and turns off automatically. We needed to be careful on our trip to Africa because of strict weight limits for luggage on small planes.Customer Review: Initial Views

This scale seems like it will work well for its intended purpose. The body of the scale is plastic, but it is strong enough to weigh my wife's fully packed suitcase. I also measured some precisely weighted dumbbells, and the scale was within half a pound of the specific dumbbell weight. I was surprised to find a small retractable tape measure integrated in the scale, so I can measure the liner inches to ensure that I am within airline limits there. Being a manual scale, I don;t have to woory about batteries or electronics going bad. Overall and for the price, it is a satisfactory scale. Customer Review: Great for Army Ruck Marches

I'm serving on active duty in the United States Army and we occasionally go on road marches with our rucksacks on our backs. Often, the Soldiers are instructed to pack their rucksack to a certain weight and the only way a supervisor can inspect and verify his Soldiers aren't cheating the system is by picking it up with his hands and guesstimating. Even if the supervisor is experienced, his guess will still be off. Now I have a tool I can bring with me to ruck march's to verify my Soldiers aren't cheating the system and packing a few pounds less than what they were told to pack.
