I kind of expected a little more. The product description mentions that you can put the luggage down and still be able to read the weight but that is not true with the model I received.
I don't know if it's broken or there's a secret clip somewhere (instructions are poor) but the fact is, as soon as you touch the ground with whatever it is you're weighting, measurement is gone.
If you have a big suitcase, it's a little complicated to hold it and bend to look at the dial. Measurement needles trembles a little, so it will give you a pretty good idea of how much weight you have but will not be precise. If you need absolute precision, go with a better, maybe digital model.

I wish I would have purchased a digital read out. My brother has one and it is precise to the nearest tenth. It also beeps when it has finished and turns off automatically. We needed to be careful on our trip to Africa because of strict weight limits for luggage on small planes.Customer Review: A pretty good scale for the price

This is not a bad scale for the price. However, though the scale part itself is sound, the metal used in the hook is sub-par and under heavy loads will bend, so beware. Not only heavy loads will bend it but medium loads if used often enough.Customer Review: Came defective

The product came defective. The stop guage did not work to see how much the luggage weight. Otherwise easy to use.
