This pillow is a firm foam neck pillow. It is not wimpy or lacking in support. The size is a little tough because it is thick and doesn't squish down but as far as portable comfort and support I give it an A+. There is a little battery compartment that makes the pillow vibrate... rather pointless... I did use it to keep me awake one time, and another time to relax. Not like a massage or anything but it's different and can serve a purpose on very rare occasion. The outside cover does come off for washing which is a nice plus. It really is great on my neck and head, I use it when I get a headache just to take some pressure off. Haven't used it for extended periods of time yet, but I'm looking forward to such a test; I'm pretty sure I'll sleep like a rock.
