I am using this for a sansa clip which is pretty small mp3 player and it is very easy to get into the standard size bag. There is plenty of room left over in the bag, but I imagine using a full size ipod, while it will certainly fit, would be harder to get in and out because you have to hook up the earphones & shove it back into the bag. I particularly like listening to audiobooks while floating in my pool and while swimming laps (easier than trying to read in bright sun) so I often use for a couple of hrs at a time. The waterproof earphones are awesome for keeping water out of ears, they are designed to go into your ear canal just like regular swim earplugs. Directions suggested testing for leaks each use, so as a precaution I put a square of tissue paper in the bag and test it for leaks every single time I use it before putting my sansa in it (I also leave the paper in there since I will notice quickly if it gets a leak since it will start dissolving right away & won't mistake drops on inside as being outside). Also, since the sansa clip is fairly inexpensive ($70 max) it won't be the end of the world if it does spring a leak, seems like a much bigger risk to use ipods. If it lasts through the summer I will be happy, I would have no problem buying one per year (or two per year if it gets heavy use). Planning on buying something similar for my ereader as well.
