I purchased this for my 6 month old and while very nicely made, it just barely fits her and I have the 9 month size. My child is not excessively large for her age, however I think when your baby hits the 6 month range, sizing varies considerably and I will probably need to start taking her to a store to try clothes on her.
This garment has a nice mid-weight cotton, tightly woven weave to it, the embroidery and stitching are done well and it is a very pretty/joyful color. If you are purchasing this during the winter season, you may want to layer your child's clothing at night or throughout the day if you keep a cool house ... a thin onesie along with thin socks should do the trick.
For sizing, this garment is probably best purchased for 6 months or younger due to varying children's sizes. Overall, a beautifully made footie.
