The controls work fine for me through the plastic. It fits, but may not be for the tiniest of arms, and the plastic pulled away from the leather on the third use. Superglue fixed the problem. Customer Review: iPod Armband

All though the product has so far seemed to have done it s job i was not impressed with its packaging state. The armband seemed dirty and the packaging looked shabby. Overall as i said it works so far just hope it stays that way for a while.Customer Review: My Ipod Armband

Definitely serves it's purpose. Material is fairly strong; no problems with the plastic cover over the wheel of the ipod. Bargain deal!
