The sides measure approximately 1" wide. The pouch is single-lined with a centre seam. Double stitching along the trim and waistband adds durability. I have three pair of these in the kiwi color and love them. Me and a friend of mine (female) went to the beach and she did not expect me to "show" up wearing these. She enjoyed the looking as well as the transparency when they are wet. "Clearly" a hit with her and I was glad to see her reaction. They are SOOOO comfortable. I have always been a confident person. these do fit very well and if you want to show what you have this is the swimsuit to have, I know since I have one. It would show even better with a white mesh, if there was a way to show a photo I would.Customer Review: Thin and See Through!

Wear this as a swimsuit only if you are daring. Extremely thin and wispy. See Through 75%. Very very comfotable, but because they are so thin they do not stay put very well in strong surf. I wore this pair on a semi-secluded beach with my wife in the West Indies. She enjoyed her view, the people who walked by did not seem to care, or notice that it was see-through from a distance. So go for this pair if you aren't on a crowded beach where strangers are five feet away from you. You'll love the free feeling and the tan.
