We use our Wii in two locations so I thought it would be handy to have an extra sensor bar. Even though this is a very simple device and looks just like the original, the performace is not as good. We use it from about 8-10 feet. You must be directly in front of the unit to work, if you are off to the sides it does not work. When it does work, the pointer on the screen jumps around considerably. For both locations I swapped the original back in with the same lighting conditions and there was no problem with the original bar. I would not recommend this product.Customer Review: Horrible

The product that was received worked for 15 minutes and then did not work again. The return product details did not exist. This was my worst purchase ever and I would never deal with this seller again. If you need this product, contact Nintendo directly. I did and I received a product that is still working and working very well. Amazon should consider no longer associating themselves with this seller.
