I had just experienced a little water seeping through my 10-year-old Lowa hiking boots when I started searching for a waterproofing product, and this product seemed to be the best bet. (There were not as many options as I thought there would be.) I followed the instructions (but I sure wish the instructions had been in larger print!) and the next time I went out I deliberately splashed through lots of puddles and my feet stayed warm and dry.Customer Review: Nikwax Footwear care kit for leather

Received fast, however this was to be used for my husband who has an expensive pair
of bate boots. Not happy with overall shine very dull would not buy again.

this product didnt do much but it DID stain my vintage-looking boots a dark shade of brown. i'm not pleased.
