I tried many brands, searching for a boardshort that fits well both in waist and hips. I am usually a size 0, but probably am considered "petite curvy." Shorts that fit well in the hip were usually huge in the waist, but not on this one. It's cut for those who aren't shaped like a board. I took a size XS. I also bought an O'Neill rashguard, and love it, too! Very happy with this purchase and this brand.
