I bought two of these for my parents as a Christmas gift. They fly at cross country over a dozen times a year and I know how nasty those seats can get on planes. I first was interested in getting them the higher priced silk sets but after doing some comparison shopping, I found the Daya Travel Kit. The price can't be beat, especially compared to the silk version. I was skeptical, not going to lie. When I hear wool/cashmere blend at such a great price, you have to wonder.
I must say, I was pleased when they arrived. I wanted a darker color but they were out of stock. I was worried the silver might be too light. I was afraid a lighter color would get grungy faster but the color is a little darker than pictured which was perfect. You can also machine wash on a gentle cycle and air dry the set. That's a nice bonus, especially if you need to have it washed while on the road. The material was super soft the perfect blend of wool and cashmere, not itchy at all. The size of the entire kit is perfect for carry on bags as well. This will not take up much space in your bag. In fact, don't judge it by the size they have listed, you can manipulate it into a much smaller size.
I would recommend this kit for anyone who travels a lot or even as little as once a year. Because the cost is so low, you won't feel guilty splurging on a kit that you use very little. If you've traveled by plane or train, even bus, you know how disgusting the seats can be and you never know who was there before you. How much cleaning between flights do they really get to do anyway? When is the last time you saw the seats of a plane being steam cleaned before your 12 hour flight? Besides, you could spend $20 on this great kit that is for your exclusive use, super soft, and comes with a generous sized blanket or spend $10 on a rented, itchy, washcloth size blanket that was used by who knows? I'm going to buy one for my self and my boyfriend for the next time we travel anywhere.
