Apparel reviews of Creative Lab Zen Vision M Video 30GB Hi-Grade Leather Cases - 5 Color Options - with Video Viewing Kickstand Belt ClipCustomer Review: Excellent Rating: 5 StarsMy husband loves his Zen, now he loves it even more! The kickstand is the coolest touch to an already nice little case.
Customer Review: Decent, but requires work Rating: 2 StarsThe leather is so new when you get it, that's it's too tight to operate the Zen through the leather until it stretches out. I've been keeping my Zen in the leather case for about a month now, and I still have to take it out to push the play, menu, back and shortcut buttons. The beltclip is nice, but when I was walking with it clipped on, it flopped around a lot, and wouldn't be good for jogging or exercising. Also, the 'kick stand' didn't work very well; it kept folding itself back up, causing the player to fall over. Lastly, the black leather is leaving stains on the white parts of my Zen, so that when it's not in the case, it looks really dirty. I don't recommend it, but I'm not planning on sending it back.
Customer Review: Case Works Just Fine, After You Soften It And Use Kroo Case Rating: 4 Starshey Kelly D. Painter (Lompoc, CA USA)'s method works (his review is a little earlier, posting here too - in case people don't see the comment I left, this method is so simple to do and would probably help all the other people who were having problems with buttons, to be perfectly happy with this leather case). I put my player in a kroo silicone case and then in a plastic baggy with a couple wraps of duct tape around the button area. Microwave a big cup of water for 3 minutes, 30 seconds and dip JUST the case in the water till the water was slightly above the markings for the top buttons but not up to the plastic screen. waited about 3 minutes. pull out. dry off. stuff the player (silicone case, sandwich bag, duct tape wrap & all) into the case and kept at it till snap close as well. left it alone for several hours (i think like 6). Took off the duct tape and sandwich bag obviously and try fitting in just my player with the kroo silicone case on into the leather case - went in pretty easy and snap easily and all the buttons work correctly!! btw I keep the kroo silicone case on as a buffer against any smudges - rather they get on a cheap silicone case then my player. Now I have a case with a sturdy, reliable belt clip that is great for walking outside with. pretty happy.
only 4 stars cuz with kroo silicone case to avoid smudges and the leather case makes for a bulky player. so if you don't imagine that you would be walking around a lot with your player attach to your belt, just get a kroo silicone case (with a Best Skin Ever shield (google this!!!)) and you would have excellent protection that way too.
Customer Review: Horrible Case Rating: 1 StarsI bought this case thinking it would protect my Zen from scratches. I discovered that this is not true and now my player is covered in ugly little scratches.
First of all, the case has so many open areas that it doesnt protect it from dust or rain. I really didn't care about that when I bought it though, since I wouldn't be taking it outside.
Secondly, the coloring of the case rubs off and stains the white parts of your mp3 player. I got a green case to go along with my green player.... and now the top white part and the back are smeared with the green dye of the case...
Thirdly, you cannot control the unit while it is inside the case. The case is so rigid that pressing one button results in many buttons being pressed. In order for me to press the buttons I had to take it out of the case. Which leads me to the worst feature of this case...
...this case doesn't protect from scratches at all. In fact -- it CREATES scratches! The stitching surrounding the clear plastic screen cover on the inside is very pointy and sharp. The result? Thousands of scratches all over my green Creative Zen Vision:M! Not only that, I noticed that it scratched long lines all the way down the player from constantly taking it out (to press the buttons).
I've had this case for a few months now, and I'm not going to use it anymore. The only positive thing about the case is that it can prop up and that it has a belt-clip.
Customer Review: One major flaw Rating: 3 StarsFits the Zen Vision M nicely. Will protect screen and allow you to clip to your belt, etc. Only flaw is it fits a bit too snug. This causes some unpredictable results when you press buttons on your Zen. It is usable though... and you can always slide it out if controls are causing you headaches.
