This was good investment, well made, washes well, easy on and off and nice looking for my just turned 4 yo boy. I ordered a 4T (his typical size- he is average ht and weight). It fits fairly well but I find the sleeves somewhat short, while rest of coat fits just right. You may want to order one size up. Of note, the hood does not detach and is comfy fleece lined, but bulky.
