Satin Halter Dress Crystal Pin Prom Formal Prom Bridesmaid
I ordered this in White and Lilac for my wedding. The Lilac is a lovely shade, and was easily matched to many items for my wedding (flowers, ribbon, flower girl dresses). The The white is for me, The Bride. I wanted a simple dress without a train for my wedding. This one is perfect. I did add a Bridal crinoline style slip to make my dress fuller tan the bridesmaids. Size is an issue! I am a 16/18 (Tops in Juniors XL, Jeans in 16) and I bought the 2X. The company sent me an XL by mistake, and I could barely get it zipped up. They promptly sent the correct size I had originally ordered (2X), and while the length of the 2X was perfect (I am 5'6") with 3.5" heels, the bust was another story. I wear a 38B (approx 41" bust) Bra and this had to be taken in a few inches at the bust line. The crystal pin is nice, not at all cheap looking. I am a 37" waist and the 2X fit with about a ½" room to spare so it's not too lose and it is comfortable when sitting. This dress has boning in the bust to keep the halter in shape. I had a hard time finding a seamstress who would take the bust in at the seam, most alterations places wanted to just put in darts, which made the bust line askew. The lining has tulle which does not have an under layer, so you will need a slip of some sort, unless you want to have scratchy legs all night. All in all-well worth the savings, even when I include alteration fees. It's also worth mentioning the fabric is of a Medium thickness and could be worn without a bra if need be.

I bought this dress in ice blue for my 2nd wedding, as I wanted something beautiful but not a traditional wedding dress. An earlier reviewer mentioned that they had to have the bust altered- I did as well, and I am not small-busted by any means. The crinoline underneath is a bit itchy, and since I was having the hemline altered to be higher in the front than the back and didn't really care about how full the skirt was, I had the seamstress I used cut the crinoline right out- when she did, she mentioned that normally dress manufacturers will put a lining underneath the crinoline so that it won't be scratchy on your legs (this dress does not have the lining underneath the crinoline.)
The ice blue color is slightly darker than in the picture, but is really a pretty color. The material is a little thicker than some satins, so you may not need a bra...I wanted a little more support, so I had bra cups sewn into the bust. For women that are not as large busted, you may not need the bra cups. A nice touch also is the fact that the company sends a matching wrap (possibly a scarf or shawl?), that they don't mention in the description.
All-in-all, a beautiful dress at a great price.

This is a very beautiful dress on, the picture doesn't do it justice. I got several compliments throughout the eveining on how nice it looked.. I did find that the sizes ran a little small and it was a little tight through the top and waist but was a little gappy under the arms for me. This dress looks great on thin people but heavier women should avoid it. It doesn't come in different length choices and since I am 5'9" I had to wear flats just so the dress would touch the ground. I didn't use the matching shawl that came with it because I didn't think it looked very good. Your better off to buy a different shawl/cover-up if you think you need one. It wasn't the most comfortable dress I've ever worn but it was ok, I was ready to take it off by the end of the evening. The dress did seem like it was well made and good quality, I think you just have to have the right body size to pull it off, it's just not flattering on fuller figures.Customer Review: Good quality for the money -- with two caveats

I ordered this dress to wear to the opera and was pleasantly surprised at the quality. It has an underslip of tulle, which makes the dress stand out from your legs just slightly -- a very refined look. It's also VERY flattering to a pear-shaped woman (hides the hips well).
However, before I could wear it, it had to be taken in in the bust. This dress has darts in the bust area and is clearly made for someone in the B-to C-cup range. (Smaller or largers bust sizes will probably require some alteration.)
Also, the shawl that comes with it looks cheap -- it has satin "sheen" on one side and is "sheenless" on the other. I splurged for some black gloves and a new shawl on eBay and ended up with a perfect opera ensemble for about $100. Great buy, though.

This dress was the perfect find for my 10 year wedding anniversary. I was looking for something very simple and chic to wear to NYC to renew our weding vows. I didn't need the frills and fufu of a regular wedding gown nor did I want to pay the high price of one...But, I still wanted to feel like a bride with out being over the top! This dress was perfect--but, like others who bought this gown, I had to get alterations in the bust because it was sewn incorrectly and very large. I usually wear a size 12 and bought an XL-- it was too big in the waist, so I had that altered too.... size "L" proibably would have fit better, but I didn't have time to return the dress. As you can see from the pictures, this dress looked great and was perfect for NYC.
