The sponges fall apart upon contact. The white makeup doesn't have smooth coverage (I ended up using Balmex and powdering with baby corn starch with better results). The red lip color was certainly functional, but the black was too wide to apply precisely and wouldn't work over the white. The red and black were kind of like art grease pencil with a blunt tip. Better off with Balmex (which by the way left my skin feeling very soft and moisturized the next day :) and a cheap black eyeliner and red lipstick.
