I searched the net for robes for my two girls that would be pretty, not tacky, and cozy. Most children's robes have pre-schoolish embellishments or characters on them. These robes are plush and thick in soft, feminine pastel colors. They have a pinched waist in the back which give them further feminine detail. They are, simply put, perfect. Way better than a Pottery Barn, or catalogue order robe. Not even worth comparing to a K-Mart or mall store robe. I ordered size 12-14 for my sixth grade daughter and the 10 for my 8 year old. They are a touch large, but that's better I think. Length is mid-shin which is great for snuggling up on the couch.
