Customer Review: Ray-Ban--a lousy company

I can't comment specifically about the quality of these glasses, but what I can offer is an assessment of the company RAY BAN--a sub-par company utterly lacking in civility. I bought a $130 pair of Ray Bans that mysteriously broke 13 months after I purchased them--which, of course, was one month after the warranty expired. I was willing to pay to get the glasses repaired, for a fee, but the company didn't actually offer repairs. Instead, they say they will replace the glasses if they are still available. If the frames are not available, they allow you to exchange the glasses up to a specified amount. The BIG problem with this is that they have a VERY limited supply of replacement frames. And they won't give you a store credit for you to use in an Eyeglass store, even if you are willing to spend more money on another pair of Ray Bans. To add insult to injury, if you ask to speak with a manager, the managers don't pick up or don't return calls if you leave a message.
E-mail is also a waste of time. They just don't respond. And don't expect to get your $12.50 processing fee back. That's the fee they get to tell you your glasses are broken-DUH.
So my bottom line suggestion is don't buy this brand of sunglasses unless you are willing to accept shoddy merchandise with sub-par service.
