I've taken these packing cubes on many trips, and they are wonderful. I wish I got them sooner. The main advantage of these over the zip-lock bags is that they stretch. You can put as little or as much stuff as you want, and they FIT !! You don't need to squeeze out the air as with the plastic bags (I guess you can poke holes in them, but this is way more convenient). The rectangular box shape great for fitting snuggly into my carry on luggage. They are very durable, too. I've used them several times and they're as good as new. They make packing, unpacking, and re-packing very easy. Highly recommended, especially if you travel often or planning a trip that involves many stops.
