My 17 year old daughter used these in conjunction with the Rick Steves Carryon suitcase/backpack. This item was recomended to us from her teacher who never travels without them. I agree that it was verry usefull to keep things separate and in their place within the suitcase without adding extra weight.Customer Review: Amazing product

At first I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this product because there were a few negative reviews.....I have nothing but great things to say about these packing cubes after using them for a 3 week European vacation. First, they are extremely light (advice: travel light, travel light, travel light!). And they are collapsible, so that you can compress them into your suitcase easily. I used the small cube to store electronic stuff (adapters, USB cable for camera, camera, camera batter charger, etc.), the second cube for socks/underwear, and the larger cube for clothing. Having things in these cubes made it VERY easy to access items without having to unpack my entire suitcase just to get to one item. Also, saved a lot of space so that I could fit more into my luggage. Highly recommended. Well constructed. Customer Review: Packing Cubes Save The Day!

I am so excited about Rick Steves Packing Cubes! Extremely helpful with organization of all travel items, easy to pack and unpack, and most importantly, my clothes stay almost wrinkle free by either folding them or rolling them into the cubes! This packing cube set was recommended to me by a frequent traveler who likes to pack as lightly as possible, so I purchased it for a weeklong three-city trip that I just finished. The cubes were the perfect size to fit into a carry-on suitcase, and they held all of the clothes that I needed for a week. My week was so much easier because of these cubes - since I was visiting three different cities, I had to re-pack three times, but there was very little hassle involved, even though I bought souvenirs in each city. The cubes allowed me to get clothes each morning without messing up the rest of my packing job, and to put the clothes away each night just as easily. I highly recommend these for anyone who wants to travel light for a week - I don't know how it would work for longer than a week, though. These worked great for our recent trip to Europe. We stayed in three different hotels, and the cubes made it easy for packing and unpacking. My son didn't have as much room in his suitcase, so I carried a pack full of his shirts....it was easy to hand it over to him in one piece. They hold a lot; I'm ready to buy a second pack!
