I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this money belt because there were a few bad reviews.... glad I went with my intuition and bought the product anyway. Probably the lightest money belt on the market. Furthermore, because it is made of silk, it absorbs sweat. Now, let's be realistic....you will sweat if you have a money belt tucked inside your pants in the middle of summer (some reviewers complained about sweating). It will get moist or wet, but this product, unlike other ones made of synthetic material such as nylon, will actually absorb the sweat (and how much depends on how much you sweat, which varies from person to person.) Because it is so light it is less obvious under one's clothing than other brands I have used. One of the two pockets comes with a plastic liner which is removable, which helps your money/passport from getting wet from sweat. The belt is very long, but easily cut to fit one's body (don't understand why people were complaining about that; Rick Steves probably designed it that way so that it could be used by people of all waist sizes.) I ordered this money belt for a recent trip to Europe. I wore it just about every day over a 10-day period, positioning it on my lower back, just below the waist line. I honestly could not even tell if it was there unless I checked for it (this was kind of surprising because I usually had it fairly well stuffed with things like paper bills, driver's license, debit card, extra credit card, and (sometimes) my passport). As others have noted, the waist belt is a bit long, but this wasn't problem at all. I just wrapped the extra material around the clipped belt and again I couldn't even tell it was there. The belt clasp never came undone. At the end of one day, I was a bit alarmed to discover that I'd neglected to zip the two main storage pouches closed, but it turned out that nothing was missing. So, all in all, it did the job, and I expect I'd be able to use it for many more trips.Customer Review: So comfortable I forgot I was wearing it...

I bought this a few months ago, and since then, I've used it on two vacations. It is very comfortable, and I really couldn't tell I had it on. On a few occasions, I patted my tummy to make sure it was still there.
I especially like that it has two separate zipper pockets. I looked at several different brands on these before I bought, and Amazon definitely had the best price for the silk belt. Most places wanted just as much, or more, for a polyester best...can you say sweaty? Ick.
For those who might be wondering, this has a really long belt. Great for plus size people. But for those skinny folks out there, just grab a pair of scissors and trim it off, since the elastic belt isn't hemmed anyway.

I bought this for a trip to South Africa. I have used fanny packs but never a hideaway money belt. I stuck mine and my son's passports in there, most of my cash, my return airline tickets, my driver's license, and my credit cards. I wore it under my pants with the bulk in back. I really forgot I had it on until I would undress at night. It was very comfortable. The hooks and zippers worked very well. There was a lot of belt slack, but that could be easily cut off. I just tucked it under. The belt got very sweaty, but the plastic inner pocket kept the things inside dry. The belt washed beautifully. This belt was exactly what I needed. When worn, you'll hardly notice it. I'm a female who wore skinny jeans while I was using the money belt and it easily fit inside my jeans, right below my waist. Other times when I was less worried, I would simply wear it around my waist - and you visually couldn't even tell that it was there. If you sweat, the silk does get wet, but the lining on the inside prevents any of the documents/money from getting wet. Also, once the silk gets wet, when you take it off, the silk dries very quickly. And yes, the waistband is very long, but you can simply cut to your liking.
