Customer Review: Great little belt Rating: 4 Stars
I have never travelled internationally or thought i had a need for a money belt, so this concept was new to me. my main criteria were price and comfort and i believe this product met my criteria. i wore it probably 10 times and after putting it on, i forgot it was there until i took it off at night. accessing it in public was a little goofy as you had to expose your belly a little and it was a bit of a production to unbutton a few shirt buttons, expose the zipper and take out stuff, but it wasn't too bad. it has room for a bunch of paper money, your passport, a few credit cards, maybe a few plane/rail tix - not tons of room, but enough for the important stuff. i think the product does what it was designed to do well, however, if i were to do it again, i might opt for a neck walley - maybe one could fit a few more things (probably not really necessary) and seems more accessible and easier to put on in the morning. when you went to use the bathroom, it might get in the way a tiny bit but not big deal. if i do more travelling, i will consider the neck bag as a potential new purchase.
Customer Review: Comfortable and served it's purpose. Rating: 4 Stars
I wore the Rick Steve money belt throughout a two week trip. It lies flat and is comfortable and very soft against the skin. It has one long zippered compartment wide enough to hold a passport and paper money and one narrower compartment divided in half, good for credit cards. I would have liked a separate wide compartment just for money, just to be more organized, but that might have added to bulk. It's also important to note that there are no 1 euro paper notes, only coins below 5 euros, so the change has to go in the pants pockets or a different purse. The only other comments are that the adjustable strap is very long, which could be a good thing for bigger people but the unused portion of the strap has to be tucked in somehow and can be annoying. My other comment is that when it's warm it got kind of sweaty and the money got damp, so maybe it needs some kind of lining inside that large compartment.
Customer Review: Survived Costa Rica in the rainy season Rating: 4 Stars
I used this money belt when I went to Costa Rica for a week in May. It rained everyday, but my money, passport, and other papers stayed dry and secure in the plastic pocket. I was afraid it might be uncomfortable or sweaty with the heat, but I wore it under my waist band on my lower back and it dried out very quickly each night. It held everything I needed and was so light and comfortable I had to often check to make sure it was there!
The only (small) problem I had was that the elastic for the adjustable waistband was far too long for me. I cut off a length and used a safety pin to keep the loose end up so it wouldn't end up hanging down my leg.
Customer Review: A good one Rating: 4 Stars
After browsing online and marching in store aisles, I found this one to be a perfect fit.I bought this from amazon. It has 3 pockets(1 big and 2 small). The big one comes with a plastic casing in it.The belt is big enough for both men and women. When I wore the belt, I found it a bit hard to open and close the zippers. You will need both your hands( for security I guess). After I snap on the belt, the elastic band is way too big for me.I wish they had a loop for that.It can hold 4 passports, a bunch of credit cards and some cash but it does become bulky if you stuff it more than that.Oh I have used this for 3 trips and its still holding up pretty well.
