This is an extremely nice, comfortable and useful money belt. I travel a lot, both in the United States and out. To be quite frank, I am more uneasy in an American city than I am in other countries as far as being robbed, but when traveling to other destinations, you have so much more to loose; e.g. your passport, visas, etc. You can get in a real mess without these things so why take a chance.
This belt fits perfectly. I should say it fit perfectly once I did a bit of cutting on the strap. I have a very thin waist and the thing almost could have circled me twice. This was really no problem though and a quick flick of a knife did the job.
The silk material is quite comfortable and the belt is quite safe when wet. I have been caught out in many a rain storm with mine on and I have never had a problem with leakage. I also tend to sweat like a pig in certain climates, there again, no problem.
Now keep in mind that this thing should not be used like a fanny pack as it was not built for that. Money, a few travelers checks and papers and that Is it. You cannot stuff a water bottle, medications, camping gear and a portable toilet in the thing.
I was very impressed with the quality and the price of this belt and do recommend it highly.

I got the belt for a trip to Indonesia. I'd never been and heard lots of horror stories about petty crime there. But I stayed with family and they never took me to traditional markets or on public transportation, so I was quite safe the whole time. It was more convenient for me to carry my wallet in my front jeans pocket.
But I wore the belt while traveling and I can say it was very comfortable. After an hour I almost couldn't tell I had it on under my pants beltline. There is a flexible, plastic sheet that protects your valuables from body sweat and also helps hold the pouch shape and keep it from wrinkling. The material is very lightweight and thin but sewn together well. The 1 large and 2 small pouches are great for seperating cards and currency, or however you want to organize things.
The only disadvantage is that I'd have to unbutton and partially unzip my pants to access the contents. So I'd have to enter a public restroom stall to pull out what I needed. But if you go to an area where thieves could hold you up and pat you down, you'll be thankful it's so hard to access and detect.

I wore this for a week and a half in Costa Rica and was very satisfied. I carried my passport, cash, and credit cards in it. I kept a wallet with a little bit of money in my pocket. I'm a pretty small guy, like only a 30" waist, and this fit me just fine. I was wearing normal jeans and shorts and it was invisible from the outside, but I can see how a money belt might not work if you're wearing skin tight clothes though. The elastic strap was very long to accommodate larger people. A lot of people have complained about this, but I just tried it on ahead of time, adjusted it, and cut off the extra strap so I didn't have a long tail and it worked fine. Honestly, after about 15 minutes I completely forgot I was wearing it - I was comfortable wearing it everywhere from hiking to sitting on buses all day - just don't forget to take it off before jumping in the ocean! The silk was very comfortable and dried quickly after getting sweaty. The plastic sweat shield worked, but it might be wise to invest in a zip top bag if you plan to get really wet.Customer Review: If you can't take anything else with you, take this money belt.

I recently returned from almost three weeks traveling throughout Italy. The two items I was most grateful to have throughout the trip were BodyGlide (which I used on my feet) and the Rick Steves' silk money belt. I'm a big girl, so I was worried about fit, but this adjustable belt was not too tight and had strap length to spare. The belt was comfortable on even the hottest, most active days. In fact, sometimes I forgot I was wearing it. It dries quickly, too. Its three pockets were great for holding not only my euros, but my larger American bills, too. I kept my passport and larger documents in the big pocket, bills in the smaller pocket, and change in the smallest pocket. I remained organized throughout my trip. This money belt was so comfortable and practical that I've used it after I've returned home when I don't want to carry a purse. All this and it prevents you from being pick-pocketed--what a deal!Customer Review: I wore this for 4 weeks and had no problems.

This money belt is great! I went to Ireland and Scotland for 4 weeks and literally wore this all day, everyday except in the shower. I even slept with this on and I didn't feel it. I stayed in hostels and was 18 at the time so I wanted my important belongings safe and wearing this gave me that sense of security. It's soft and flexible and you don't feel it when you wear it. It held my 2 ID cards, my bank card, my passport, plane ticket and all money I had on me that I wasn't going to use that day and you couldn't tell I was wearing it. This money belt is super comfortable and will fit just about anyone. The belt is stretchy and easily adjustable. I love how it's made out of silk and not stiff uncomfortable nylon like other brands. I actually gave this to my best friend who went to the UK a couple years later and she loved it. Highly recommended!
