Customer Review: Perfect neck wallet for traveling

I believe Rick Steves's neck wallet is the perfect accessory for holding your passport and other important articles while traveling. I used it to hold my passport, my Berlin tourist transit pass, and a credit card and some Euros on my latest trip to Germany. I had an older version made of leather, but the cord on it was about to go, so I invested in Rick Steves's product. I wasn't disappointed. I didn't particularly like the plastic perspiration shield, but it was very warm in Berlin this last August, so I needed it to protect my documents. If it had been cooler I would use it without the plastic shield. Overall this is a great product. I still kept a wallet in my pocket, in the unlikely case that we were robbed. I kept an old wallet with a few expired credit cards and 5 or 10 Euros in it to give up in case a thief confronted us. But everything important was hidden in my wallet under my shirt. Bought this specifically for a 10 day trip to NYC and Rome, Italy. Was pleased with the quality and construction, although I also read prior reviews and reinforced the cord to make sure it did not break. My only suggestion to anyone purchasing and using this wallet would be to rinse it out in a basin of soapy water every few days and let it dry overnight. I do not have sensitive skin, but found my skin becoming irritated after a few days of wear. I figured out it was probably my own dried sweat that had accumulated on the wallet (sorry, I know it's TMI!)that was irritating my skin. So next time I will be sure to empty the wallet of it's contents and rinse it out every few days. I also wore it holster-style across my body as my husband, a former Marine, suggested so a potential thief can't choke you with it!Customer Review: Neck Wallet

This was particulary useful on our trip and worked better than the money belt models that we had used in the past. The waterproof sleeve and the seperate zippered compartments for credit and ATM cards worked especially well for our group of three people. The silk material was comfortable, wore well under clothing, and washed well upon our return. A great product.Customer Review: best of its type

This is less noticeable under my shirt than most neck wallets, but still has enough pockets to keep credit card, ATM card, money, and passport separate and easily accessible. I've tried a variety of neck wallets, and like this the most. Like all the others, to avoid being obvious, it must be worn under a shirt and undershirt.Customer Review: love this silk belt

I travel accross the USA quite often, and this belt allows me to carry money and documents without the worry of detection. I am extremely pleased with the design and quality.
