I was very pleased with my first pair of Spanx. I purchased these in "nude" to wear to holiday parties. I wore them 3-4 times over the winter. They did an excellent job of trimming my figure and were surprisingly comfortable. They're a pain to get on, but it's worth it. I had minimal problems with rolling. The nude color did a great job of camouflaging leg imperfections on my extremely fair skin. It lent a bit of color without making me look tanned, which is exactly what I wanted.
My one complaint is the opening at the crotch. It's there so you don't have to roll down the hose to use the ladies room. I found it did not stay suitably shut, giving me a disconcerting "airy" feeling. I'm a fairly modest person and I didn't like feeling as though I wasn't wearing underwear. My dress was long enough that I knew I was in no danger of flashing anyone, but I still felt uncomfortable. I would have appreciated a snap closure or something similar.

This was quite a chore to put on, but once on it stayed put, and I did look rather smooth in it instead of bumpy in my dress. It wasn't exactly comfortable, but it wasn't uncomfortable, and I got used to it pretty fast. Going to the bathroom was tricky but possible. I was worried about that, because if I'd have had to take it down, there's no way I would have gotten it back up without a lot of grunting and groaning, and I was at a pretty public place not wanting to have that experience. I'm thinking that #2 in this thing would be impossible.Customer Review: A "One-Wear" Wonder!

I just LOVE SPANX!!!
They really make my bulges (baby bump, mind you, my "baby" is now 8.... and love handles!) disappear like magic! I highly recommend these if you have a special occasion and you want to look sexy and shapely!
That being said, I usually only get to wear them once. The yarns used to construct the hose are so flimsy that they run or snag after just one washing (even a very careful handwashing......)! I even had a pair that I never got to wear even once! They snagged when I washed them before wearing.
PLEASE, PLEASE, Folks at Spanx, hear our pleas.......make these out of stronger yarns!!!!!

Spanx All The Way high waisted pantyhose
Others said this before - Spanx pantyhose rip, if not right out of the package then a short time later. I love the way they fit and shape without killing you (I'm a size A, so it's mostly the shaping that I need), but I ripped one pair after another. I wind up cutting them and wearing them with trousers.
The most recent, and worst, trauma happened with two pairs that I bought for my son's wedding. The first pair tore off in the hotel room. The second one ran in the car on our way to the wedding. Fortunately I had passed a Macys that morning and bought a pair of hose on sale. I wound up wearing those stockings for the night.
Even before the wedding fiasco I wrote to the company complaining about the flimsiness of their product. I never heard back from them. Maybe I should take them to Judge Judy's court or something.
A long time ago I heard, and it makes sense, that it is possible to make indestructable pantyhose. Guess who is not interested.
