After reading other recommendations, I was anxious to try these out. I adore them! They are so comfy and I haven't had any trouble with them rolling down as some others stated. But, that could be because I have a short torso, so these come up higher on me than they do on the model in the picture. They are fantastic for making my pants sit where they are supposed to (I have small hips, and these help my pants stay up). They really help to smooth everything out and make your sillouette look wonderful! I think the negative reviews have been mostly unfair as many women are expecting them to work like plastic surgery.
My only issue was not with the product itself, but that on the Spanx website, it recommended that if you are on the edge of one size, you should buy the next size up. I am 5'2" and weigh 120, which is towards the edge of the "A" size. I decided to get a "B" to be safe, and it fit fine, but I think I could have gotten even better results if I had purchased my normal nylons size (which is an "A"). As long as I wash the size that I have now often to make them shrink back, it will be okay. I will be buying these again in the future, but I would say to be honest about your weight and size, get the size on you fall in to on the sizing chart, and you won't be disappointed!
Update: I've had these for about a month now, and I'm disappointed to see that there is a seam that is already coming apart. :( This explains the reason I've dropped my rating to four instead of five stars. I still think it's a great product, but I'm bummed that the quality isn't as good as it should have been for paying $30 for it.

I'm 5'5" weigh 125 lbs and am in pretty good shape. The Spanx feels great on the legs and I grew accustomed to wearing it after a couple minutes. It does have a tendency to roll down slightly when sitting but I find that pulling the top up higher helps to prevent this. Two of my girlfriends purchased a pair the same time I did and they enjoy them thoroughly.
There are NO funky waist band lines or lines on the thigh. I wore it with a thin single layer satin dress and it worked great. Overall, I would recommend this to others.

I got these and wore them to my rehearsal dinner and for my wedding - I was wearing non-traditional, but fairly slinky dresses, and I have to say they were comfortable and made a noticeable difference. And did I mention comfortable? They won't work miracles, but they do make one look a bit sleeker without weirdo bulges everywhere and aren't as constricting as other shapers I've tried.
