Customer Review: Great workmanship for the money

Usually the first thing I notice when buying cheaper handbags is the stitching is terrible, crooked and frayed and you can notice the imperfections immediately when looking at them. This WAS NOT the case with this bag. I looked it over very carefully and could not see any obvious imperfections. I ususally buy Dooney & Bourke handbags which have incredibly good craftsmanship and stitching so that is a big thing for me. But unfortunately some of us just can't afford a $250 handbag anymore, so I opted for this one that looked simliar to the new Dooney. I am very happy with the look and feel for the money. The snap at the top to close is magnetic, which I think gives it a nicer feel, although there are some smaller snaps throughout that are the traditional type. The bag is a little smaller than I expected but it will still do fine. I also don't think this was mentioned in the description, but there is a separate detachable cell phone carrier that you can take off and take out alone, also which has a magnetic snap. Some others said the zipper on theirs was not good, this one seemed OK. I like the stainless steel studs in the red leather panels on the outside, also a nice touch for astestics. Nice crunchy leather feel to it too. Overall, very happy and would recommend. And for under $20! I don't think the knock offs in New York City could compare this bag!
