My husband and I planned a trip to Florida during my April vacation from teaching. Our 13 month old son is between walking and crawling, so he's very mobile and naturally made us worried about sunburn. We got the hat about a week before we left so I tried "training" him to wear it on several occasions. The three hats I had purchased, or received as gifts, were not to his liking. There was no lag time between placing it on his head, his ripping it off and throwing it across the room. However when we got to Florida it took one fight session of getting it on him and us cheering in the middle of the Naples Zoo like overly-enthusiastic dorks, for him to leave it on! Now no fights! He has an enormous head so the 2-5 year old size is wonderful. The adjusting strap is easy to use! The wide brim even provides shade on his arms. The neck protecting flap in the back is broad and round so it doesn't create that "hat-mullet" that a lot of other baby hats create (I was afraid of that look). We've gotten compliments on the hat everyday of our vacation so far. Definitely worth the money I paid!
