With extra-tall 26-inch walls, the Superyard XT is a practical way to create a portable, safe play area for young children or pets. Enclosing 18 square feet, Superyard XT is made of durable reinforced plastic. Weather resistant and sturdy, the gate can go anywhere outside--yard or beach---and can also be used inside to protect displays (such as Christmas trees) or keep kids and pets away from dangerous areas. This is a great way to keep your child safely with you as you garden. Superyard arrives fully assembled; all you need to do to make an enclosure is snap two panels together. Snapping the panels together does take a bit of grunt work, but the plastic is flexible and doesn't break easily. Be aware that this product is only intended for children from 6 to 24 months of age--older children may try to climb over the gates. For younger children and pets, however, this is a great way to keep them safe and let them play.This gate allows you to create a large enclosed play area (18.5 square feet) for your toddler, indoors or out. Complete with a portable carrying strap, this six-panel gate made of durable plastic is easy to carry to wherever you might need it. Simply extend the panels and snap the gate shut and you've got a safe, spacious area for play or naptime. We purchased the superyard and extension for use in our apartment. It was the perfect way to keep our growing and moving 8 month old safe without babyproofing the entire place. It also allows me to do something in another room without having to take the baby with me. We plan to move to a house and will be able to use it there as well both indoors and outdoors.Customer Review: A life saver!

When our son started rolling into chairs, we knew we needed something to keep him safe. This play yard fits great in our living room, yet there's plenty of room for him to roll around in all directions. Also, I like that it's see-thru. You can see your baby (and he can see you) from across the room. I don't care that it's not the most attractive thing. It was affordable and it does the job. And when our son starts crawling, we can completely close it and know that he won't be able to sneak off. One suggestion I would make to the manufacturer though would be to pad or provide padding around the bottom, about six inches high. My son falls asleep with his head on the edge all the time (NOT very comfortable), and when I move him away from it, he wakes up. It'd be nice to not have to move him. We have this gate outside in our patio so that we can swim in our pool at still keep a close eye on our 16 month old son. We bought one of those alphabet mats so that he isn't playing right on the concrete and threw in a bunch of toys for him to play with. He loves it! He can see us, we can see him and we know that he is safe.
The only thing is that it is a little bit difficult to extend or move the configuration of the gate. If you have two hands and firm kick, it moves okay. But definitely not something you can do with a little one at your heels. Otherwise I would have given this product 5 stars.

I was initially against playpens because I thought he'd feel like he was in jail... but he loves this fence thing! So much fun. His play space, just for him. All his toys right there. It's great! He can do what he wants and we don't have to keep taking him away from "dangerous" areas like before.
