Description of Superyard XT GateNORTHSTATE 8666 SUPERYARD XT CORRAL With extra-tall 26-inch walls, the Superyard XT is a practical way to create a portable, safe play area for young children or pets. Enclosing 18 square feet, Superyard XT is made of durable reinforced plastic. Weather resistant and sturdy, the gate can go anywhere outside--yard or beach---and can also be used inside to protect displays (such as Christmas trees) or keep kids and pets away from dangerous areas. This is a great way to keep your child safely with you as you garden. Superyard arrives fully assembled; all you need to do to make an enclosure is snap two panels together. Snapping the panels together does take a bit of grunt work, but the plastic is flexible and doesn't break easily. Be aware that this product is only intended for children from 6 to 24 months of age--older children may try to climb over the gates. For younger children and pets, however, this is a great way to keep them safe and let them play. This gate allows you to create a large enclosed play area (18.5 square feet) for your toddler, indoors or out. Complete with a portable carrying strap, this six-panel gate made of durable plastic is easy to carry to wherever you might need it. Simply extend the panels and snap the gate shut and you've got a safe, spacious area for play or naptime. The area can be extended to 34.4 square feet with the purchase of the extension kit. --Jane Snyder
Apparel reviews of Superyard XT GateCustomer Review: Unusual use of superyard Rating: 5 StarsI was looking for something to block a hearth that spans the entire room. I didn't want anything that was permanently attached to the wall, so this superyard is serving as a hearth gate. I have a table on one end and a play block table on the other side. It works perfectly, and the little ones can't get to the brick hearth. Our seventeen month old grandson was climbing on the hearth non-stop, so this has been great. In the summer, we'll probably use it outside as a play yard. So, as of yet, I can't comment on how the superyard works.
Customer Review: Peace of Mind Rating: 4 StarsMy 9 month old is constantly on the move. I can't turn my back for a minute without him crawling away or pulling himself up on everything. I feel safe leaving him in this while I put a load of laundry in or if I need to help my 2 year old with something. I bought the 2 panel extension as well but haven't used it yet. They came in two separate shipments so I would get the yard first then determine if you have the room or need for the extension.
Customer Review: Thank GOD! Rating: 4 StarsWe raise Guide Dogs for the blind so we are getting a brand new, 8 week old puppy every year. Now you think a baby is hard.. try chasing a crazy pup around who can run jump bark and nip. haha. Anyways. Before the "superyard" we were getting very creative with the gates and were trying to set up some kind of yard so the pups dont have to stay cooped up in a kennel all day. When we saw the play yard we HAD to have it. It has been so great! We can take it anywhere and it folds so nicely once our puppy gets too big and learns to jump over. The only problem we have with it is its inablility to open... like a door. The pups get heavy as they grow and as I'm sure it is with babies... our backs get sore lifting them in and out all day. If only they created some type of door extension to go with it... we'd be very happy. But overall... it is well worth the money seeing as we finally don't have to watch them 24-7.
Customer Review: very safe Rating: 5 StarsI love the play yard. My grandson is safe to play without worry of the bigger children or dog being able tp get to him.
Customer Review: Sturdy, portable, and easily adjustable to corral little ones on the go Rating: 5 StarsMy husband an I bought a superyard when our little guy started "scooting" across the room. We love that we can adjust the superyard to fit our space needs, with the option to expand and/or change the shape as needed. One of the best things is that it gives our little guy his own space - he can play with all his toys and I can be in the same room working on my computer without worrying about him getting into all my papers, cords, etc. The holes in the superyard are big enough for him to not feel too contained, small enough so that he doesn't get body parts stuck in them, and sturdy enough to hang toys and/or for him to pull up on them. The Superyard is basically three pairs of folding panels that you can connect together (for a total of six sides), and the expansion set is one pair of folding panels. When you lean against the superyard, it will bend a little with your weight but will not move or change its shape. You have to really use some force in order to move the panels, which is difficult to do if the superyard is locked in place. Hence, it is very safe for use with little ones. My sister used her superyard with her kinds until they figured out how to climb over it and I expect I'll be using mine until then as well! One more thing - it works just as well for little people as it does for little dogs or other pets...
