Apparel reviews of Swaddlebees ABC Cloth Diaper CoverCustomer Review: Practical and Pretty! Rating: 5 StarsSent these to my baby neice(well, to her parents anyway) and they loved them! I believe they ended up buying several more! I love practical items that are also stylish!
Customer Review: For older babies Rating: 4 StarsThis cover is one I put on him when I want him to look cute. Let's say he is wearing blue jeans & a shirt & I think it might peak out the back of his jeans. When my son was a younger baby, I hated these covers. It didn't do as well around the legs & it would get a little wet too. As he got older, this cover started fitting better around the legs. He is now a year old and I wish I had more. I still go to my thirstie covers while at home since the velcro does wear out on any cover when used often, but I do love these covers.
I'd say these covers are better for older babies or toddlers.
Customer Review: A bit stiff Rating: 2 StarsThis cover was kind of stiff and I didn't like it. I'd prefer to use something softer so my daughter is comfortable playing. I think I used them once and sold them.
Customer Review: Better than Bummis Rating: 5 StarsWe have been doing cloth diapering for about 6 months now. It is not nearly as time intensive as one might imagine. In fact, if you hate shopping, as we do, throwing a load of diapers in the wash is much eaiser than running to the grocery with a baby.
That being said, Swaddlebee's are my second choice; we use wool covers for the most part. We have a variety of other covers for backup, car trips, and sometimes nights.
The first couple of months we were changing diapers all day. Our daughter was a two diaper minimum...(she would pee as soon as a new diaper went on). The bummis were huge on a newborn and the swaddlebee's have been a much better fit. (She has the baseball-in-the-tummy-chubby shape more than a skinny-baby shape.)
The colors for Swaddlebee's are great and they seem to be leak-proof. I haven't had any fading. I just throw these in the wash with the diapers and line dry. They dry quickly and are ready to go. I also find that these tabs come apart less in the wash than the Bummis. This is annoying about the Bummis as the Velcro gets stuck to everything, including itself.
[On a side note: If you are unsure about wool covers, they do have a learning curve. But this is the only real way to go completely organic/ natural with cloth diapering. Other "organic" covers are generally made of polyester fleece.]
Customer Review: simple, effective, good Rating: 4 StarsNothing revolutionary, but it works well, washes well, and has been good for us. Had it for a couple of months now, still looks and works like new. I'll be buying more when my daughter moves up to the next size. She's 7 months, about 20lbs, and pretty chunky. The medium works well and has room to grow.
