I have used my purse hook many times and also bought several others to give out as gifts. I have used it several times when eating out at smaller tables and bar top tables when there isn't a back to the chair or the chair has an odd design. It works w/ most tables and bar tops. I only have issues when sitting at a bar and the edge of the bar area is very thick. When eating out, I can see my purse, instead of having it sit behind me and my Coach purse looks great hanging from it. I have received several compliments on my purse hook from servers and friends. It's sturdy and comes w/ a case to keep it clean.
