Customer Review: Someone please make a better belt!

This is a really poor belt, but I don't know of a better one that will make it through an airport metal detector. First off, I can verify that I went right through the airport screen with this on - no problem at all - just as advertised.
It is a really cheap looking belt. It is too narrow (admittedly, it is as wide as advertised), and the leather has a cheap feel to it. I would happily pay twice as much for a better quality belt. The buckle looks like a poorly molded plastic item, though as I type, I can see it on my waist and it is indeed leather wrapped. In addition, the brown side is too light for my taste.
For all this complaining, I don't know of a better alternative...
