Absolutely amazing product. I know it seems so simple, almost "cheap," but it is anything but. The pictures here do not do it justice. When used, it, literally, is invisible. It is also vastly more sturdy than I thought it would be. While I do not wear a tie daily, I do from time-to-time during the cooler times of the year when I wear my long-sleeve uniform shirt (I'm a correctional officer at a prison), and while ties are not required, I always wear one with that particular uniform. Due to the nature of the job, I am moving all day, including bending, squatting, and other job-related functions. This had always been an issue for me. A few wear tie bars and such, but even those move around, and could, if needs be, be used as a weapon. I have been wearing the tiedown for awhile now, and the tie stays perfectly straight no matter what I am doing.
I know most people will be wearing it in a different setting than I am, but the fact that it works so well where I am, should show others that it would be perfect for normal wear any other time a tie is required or wanted.

Tiedown is a very inexpensive and ingenious solution to hold ties in place, without having to wear a tie tack or tie bar. Because they hold the tie down to your shirt from the back of the tie (through the loop on the back of the tie where you tuck the narrower end through the wider end), the look is uncluttered by anything on top of the tie. The holes for putting the Tiedown over the buttons on your shirt are long enough that they can accommodate a wide variety sizes (i.e. a wide variety of distances between buttons), which is also clever. I am completely satisfied with Tiedowns, and have now ordered them twice.Customer Review: Very useful, very practical

For the price, it's a little expensive, but honestly, it's a cleverly simple enough invention. As far as the other postings stating that it "bends your ties" in awkward positions etc, I'm wondering if it has to do with the type of shirt and the distance of the buttons or something because I've not had the issues they are referring to. These tiedowns work as advertised and they keep the tie from flying around in the wind and from pulling me into the shredder when I lean over to pick something up (just kidding).Customer Review: Tiedown

Tiedown, the Alternative to Tie Tacks and Tie Bars
I generally use a tie chain, I dont like the holes left in my silk ties by tacks, and ties these days seem too wide for a tie bar to grasp completely.
Some years ago, my wife gave me one of these tiedowns, and I've since ordered more.
Thoroughly satisfied with the product. Keeps tie straight and no need to fool with tacks or bars.

My wife got a TIEDOWN from its creator and brought it home to me. Five days a week I am in jeans and a polo, but two days a week I perform weddings at a Viva Las Vegas Themed Weddings chapel. Last week I forgot to add my TIEDOWN to my shirt and tie as I dressed. I had outdoor weddings and a particulary messy lunch and found my tie flapping in the breeze and almost dipping in my lunch. You can be certain I will never leave the house to work at the chapel without putting on my TIEDOWN!!
