Apparel reviews of Timbuk2 Strap Pad GripCustomer Review: A Must-Have Upgrade for the Commute 2.0 Rating: 5 StarsThis pad should probably have been the stock pad on the Commute 2.0 messenger bag. As there is no way to attach a cross-strap to the Commute 2.0, the rubber grip pad is necessary to help stabilize the bag while riding. With the rubber grip pad, my bag hardly ever slips during my daily bicycle commute.
The rubber pad also has a much nicer gel-like material on the inside, rather than the hard foam used in the stock pad. The end result is a pad that stays on your shoulder and feels a whole lot more comfortable to boot.
Customer Review: Does the job Rating: 4 StarsThe strap goes on easily and doesn't move when the bag is off my shoulder. They could've put more padding but overall it does its job.
Customer Review: Does what it's supposed to do... Rating: 4 StarsThe Timbuk2 Strap Pad keeps my travel messenger bag in place and can easily be used on whatever bag happens to be slipping from my shoulder when traveling with carry-on only luggage these days. It makes the strap a little bulky, tends to roll around a bit, and at times causes the strap to twist. It would be better if the bag was made with a built-in strap but this helps.
Customer Review: THE BEST STRAPPAD FOR A MESSENGER BAG.....PERIOD! Rating: 5 StarsPLUS: okay i have had this with my timbuck 2 classic messenger (X-Large) bag now for atleast 2 months and well..... IT HAS NO FLAWS! most straps become a pain after a few minutes or they don't really add much cusion or they don't stay still, all of which this strap pad adresses. it dosent move unless you manually attempt to adjust it.also after long periods of time their is NO FATIGUE!!! I have used this on my shoulder all day carring close to 35 lbs in books and papers and DID NOT FEEL A THING!!! oh yeah this has the added bounus of being adjustable to the size of your strap. this strappad won't move even when running yeah i tested it for that too, and it passed with flying colors. no movement and you can feel it's stability..... yeah i know how do you "feel" stability, get this pad and you will find out.
MINUS: minus?.... what minus?
Overall: Strap pad perfection.no flaws
Customer Review: Essential. Rating: 5 StarsJust like everything from timbuk2, it's of high quality and is recommended. The rubberized pad is the way to go, especially if you don't wear the strap across your chest. One reviewer already mentioned it keeping the bag on your shoulder, which it does.
Description of Timbuk2 Strap Pad GripThe strap pad attaches to any shoulder strap for added on-the-go comfort. Tough-Tek No-Slip model features rubberized non-slip material, especially for people who prefer to carry their bag on the shoulder, rather than across the chest (messenger-style.
