Cute little product! I got this as an accessory gift for my girlfriend for Christmas, and it works just as it stated. It's compact enough to fit snugly into a smaller purse and gives more than enough room for a larger purse. The only problem that we have encountered was due to it's compact size.. in order to make it small enough to fit into a purse, the handle itself is pretty small. Normally that is fine, but with the automatic clicker on the handle, sometimes you can accidentally close the umbrella if you manage to squeeze the handle the wrong way. Under normal rain circumstances that is fine, but if you're busy getting pelted and trying to run to a restaurant and/or find a cab, you may wind up being surprised at closing it on yourself!
Other than that, it's a superb product. Nice little umbrella for the women out there.. for guys, I'd recommend getting a larger one. Most of us don't wear purses, and if you're escorting a woman with you, you'll want a larger umbrella anyways so it can cover both of you and not have to worry about it accidentally closing!
