I purchased a Storm Beater Totes windproof double canopy golf size, auto open, umbrella and the first time I used it, it nearly sliced off two of my fingers! The handle unit is so poorly crafted there were burrs in the plastic and a metal splinter embedded outward. Two cuts on my fingers took about a week to heal.
I've since filed a complaint with Isotoner and plan to file one with the U.S. Consumer Protection Safety Commission as this product is downright dangerous.
If you want your fingers and hands intact, look at a different brand.

I bought this product for $23 from Amazon,because of lifetime warranty. The item broke in just 4 months, I had to ship for repair or replacement that cost me $11 for both way shipping.
So bottom line is, Product is not good, lifetime warranty is useless, unless you wish to spend $11 every 4 months and wait for repair for next 6 weeks, this doesn't worth price, next time I will not dare to send it for repair even if it breaks again because of shipping cost involved. Did not receive my repaired or replaced umbrella, will post my experience after that.

the Totes umbrellas are attractive -- HOWEVER -- they DO NOT CLOSE WELL -- after you pull the umbrella closed you have to hold it closed with your hands while you secure it with the strap/s -- the locking device does not work -- I bought two -- different patterns -- different months -- same problem -- I do NOT recommend Totes brand umbrellas. Oh -- and forget about calling their customer service numbers -- I think you could get the president on the line more easily --
