Customer Review: Great Travel Companion--especially if you enjoy HOT Coffee!

My wife and I travel 3-5 times a year. We both enjoy either tea or flavored coffees. Hotels and cruise ships do fine for delivering ready made coffee, but hot water is not always hot. By the time it goes into their thermos or pot, then is poured into a cold ceramic cup/mug, it is not at all piping hot! So, we either run water through the coffee maker without coffee and get that wonderful acidy after taste, or use the luke warm water provided.
This little travel pot is great. It is faster than our previous Frantz unit, and works perfect. The first dozen or so uses had a plastic tasting flavor, but we seem to have worked past that. Weight is not bad, size is minimal, and the piece nest together nicely for packing in a suitcase. The voltage can adapt to whatever country you are in, and we've never not been able to use it. Hotels, cruise ships, even bed and breakfasts. This unit gives us the flexibility to have morning or afternoon coffee at our leisure, and to have it HOT!

This is the perfect travel-size pot, with a 2 cup capacity. Water heats rapidly and has auto shut-off. The only problem I had was with the US adapter plug. The European plug that is attached to the pot did not fit into the US adapter plug that was sent with my unit. (Adapter plugs are packaged separately, so it's possible the wrong one was was selected and placed in the box.) I have an extensive adapter collection, so it was not a problem for me, but otherwise would have made it impossible to test the unit before my trip to Italy. Overall this is a great pot and was exactly what I've been looking for.Customer Review: Small but very useful

When you travel in the UK, you just about always have an electric kettle awaiting you in your hotel room. However, this isn't always the case in other countries, so if you want to relax with a cup of tea or make your favorite coffee protein drink, you have few options. With this little kettle, problem is solved! It only heats about a cup and a half at a time, but it is lightweight and quick. I had a little trouble plugging it in, because its plug is thick -- I assume that is the EU equivalent of a grounded plug. Nonetheless, it has earned a place in my luggage!Customer Review: works well

I haven't taken this to Europe yet but tried it in the US. The first time I used it, it did not auto-shut off as advertised but subsequent times (3 times) it worked as expected. Fast to boil. Good for traveling. Capacity is small (2 6-oz cups)so don't expected to brew 2 regular cups (8 oz) of water.Customer Review: Great little kettle!

Works great! The switchable voltage is the key feature with this item for me. Would have liked a slightly greater water capacity to fill two good size mugs or small thermos, but it still does the trick. Price is a little high, but the quality is good. No real big complaints.
