Purchased this bag for a 1-3 monthly business travel lasting 1 week (5 days). Have been on several trips with it since I purchased it and have been extremely happy.
I am mindful of not curb hopping with the wheels or lunging with the handle extended, as previous comments suggested. The wheels are noticeably protected compared to other roll-a-board bags however. Nonetheless, the wheels and the handle work superbly, no issues.
I use the top garment carrier and even with 3-4 shirts in it, it does not extend the outside of the bag - which would hamper its ability to fit into the overhead bin.
My trips are mostly on American Airlines MD80's and the bag fits just fine, wheels first, with a little room to spare even with the outer pocket extended a little. Nothing fits in the Embraer or Fokker jets (!) overhead compartments so I checked the bag at the gate. No problem racing down the aisle either. Oh yeah, a very light bag too.
Inside, the bag has enough room for 5 days of clothes if you pack smart. If you have to have a new outfit for day and night of each day, then this bag is probably not the bag for you.
Overall, after a couple of months of travel, I give this bag a hearty thumbs up. Lesser bags could probably perform about the same in the short term, but if you want to focus on your travel, etc and not your gear, then consider upgrading to a quality bag like this.
