This blanket is a great size, easy to fold, and perfectly water-resistant. However, its top layer (quilted top) and bottom layer (water resistant material) are not sewn together. Every time someone steps on it, they slip. My two-year-old fell the first time he stepped on the blanket because the quilted top slipped right out from under him. I would have returned it immediately, but I have needed a waterproof blanket several times lately. I don't know if it's just a faulty blanket or if they are all this way. I'm unhappy with my purchase because it was more expensive than several other types, but I liked the look of it, so I spent the extra money. This is a great beach blanket! I have used it quite a few times out here in Hawaii and I love it. It's easy to fold up and put back in it's carrier, sands wipes off easily, and it's big enough for me, my husband, and my daughter to hang out on. Blanket I got has never been taken outdoors so can't really comment on that.
Have used this as a regular blanket though which it performs adequately. The blanket doesn't really have any insulation other than the top and bottom layers so don't expect too much. Its "outdoor" qualities means that its a little more durable than ordinary ones which is why I bought it.
Also, like other reviews have stated, the top and bottom layers are only sewn together at the edges so its a slip hazard to stand on it. Very slippery if you're not careful.

If you want water resistant or waterproof look to the Turfer blanket, instead of the Tuffo picnic blanket. This 1 is slippery and certainly not waterproof.
