Customer Review: Scratch resistant but not break resistant

I bought this case for my iPhone 3g 8GB because it said scratch proof but it broke in half while trying to place it on. I think it's made for the 2g because the back is flat instead of curved. But don't take my word for it, I don't have a 2g to compare it to.
Durability
Obviously not very durable since it broke while putting it on. Very flimsy and thin plastic. It does seem that it is pretty scratch resistant. I just took a pen and tried to mark it but nothing happened.
Appearance
I did not like this case as much as my other iphone case I had purchased recently
elago iPhone 3G/3GS Shine Case (High Glossy) - Black + Univesal Dock Adapter(my friend liked it so much, she jacked it from me so I ended up buying this one). It is kind of shiny but not as black or shiny as the back of the iPhone. Also the workmanship is shoddy. There are little bubbles or specks of paint which makes it not smooth all around. I do like the cut of the apple on the back instead of the regular circle and I like that it has absolutely no words painted on.
In summation, I will buy the one I had previously bought.
