Customer Review: Perfect Socks Even For The Desk Bound Urban Professional: No lint, not too bulky, no stink, not too hot, and not too cushy.

Recently I went into one of my favorite casual clothing shops which sells a lot of work clothes--such as Carhartts and work boots. I was looking over the socks and picked up a pack of deluxe Wigwam socks when the salesperson asked me, "Do you work outside, on your feet a lot?" I answered, "I work inside, sitting at a desk a lot." I was convinced I was unworthy of such comfortable socks, that they would be too hot, that I would be overequiping myself. After all, I climb stairs, not mountains.
But then faced with the prospect of buying yet more super thin dress socks for my 'smart casual' job--as most workplaces even on Wall Street are going these days--I figured I'd try a pair and ordered these on Amazon.
So glad I did.
When I opened the box, I thought I made a mistake because the pack of three socks appeared to be very thick, too thick for sitting at a desk all day, but when I actually put them on I found they were just perfect--not too thin, not too thick, not overpadded so it feels like I've got pillows strapped to my feet instead of shoes.
Wearing them for desk work every day since, I've also found they are not too hot, and breath exceptionally well in my leather dress-casual shoes.
I had a wee bit of lint with the first wearing, so I don't want to say they're completely lint free, but this didn't prove to be a problem after the first wearing and subsequent wash.
BOTTOM LINE: From now on, I'll keep a few pairs of dress socks around for when I need to wear a suit and tie, but these are what I'll wear both at work an in my free time.
