Bought these for skiing and they worked fine. Warm and thin with decent padding on the shin. Fit my feet but they were surprisingly long in the calf, and I"m 6'4".

The lumberjacks needed durable heavy wool socks due to their rugged labor. Later, the company was renamed Wigwam.
