Of course, she loves horses, so the pattern is really what matters to her... But I like it too. It's easy to clean, and the size is great. More about the size: it's rather unexpectedly large, but thin - I was doubtful at first. But the shape makes the extra space usable - if she wants to bring a water bottle, it fits right inside rather than having to be separate. And it's not TOO thin - everything has fit without any trouble, including a soup container. The whole thing fits easily into her backpack. All the sides are relatively soft, though. It works for my daughter, but I don't think it would be great for my son - his lunches often "inexplicably" turn to mush.
