I first saw one of these "gizmos" when out with another woman....could not find one in stores so came to amazon, i just wanted it to be practical - i agree withthe other post - i did not want it to be too flashy or have jewels on it - it is just a purse hook -i do like that it lies flat and the design on it is actually prettier than what the photos shows. I think it works well - i tried it at home on a table almost 2.5 inches wide at the edge and it fit fine... I would like to buy some for gifts but was wondering if anyone knows where to get them less expensively. I do think 10.99 is a lot for an item like this - I don't think it is worth more than about 5-6 dollars.
